roasted brussel sprouts
Ingredients:
1lb of Brussel sprouts, cut in half or into quarters
2 tbsps of Olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Garlic Powder, to taste
Red pepper flakes, to taste
1/4 cup of honey, optional
supplies:
aluminum foil lined sheet pan
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425. on a aluminum lined sheet pan, lay the brussel sprouts in a single layer. drizzle with olive oil, and season well with seasonings. Roast for about 35-45 minutes, or until the brussel sprouts are crispy. if desired, after 30 minutes of cooking, drizzle with honey. once cooked, sprinkle with additional seasonings, if necessary. serve warm. Enjoy!
note: it’s important to lay the brussel sprouts in a single layer or they will steam instead of roast. also, while the honey is optional, it helps the Brussels get crispy. you can also use agave.
