chicken burger
ingredients:
1lb of ground chicken
1/4 cup of breadcrumbs
1/2 jalapeño, finely minced or grated
1 garlic clove, minced or 1/2 tbsp of garlic paste
1/2 tsp of ancho chile powder
salt and pepper, to taste
topping of choice
supplies:
mixing bowl
cast iron pan
directions:
heat a cast iron pan over medium high heat. while the pan heats, mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and form burgers. you should get about 4 patties. once the cast iron is hot, drizzle about 1 tbsp of oil in the pan, then add your chicken burgers. do not crowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary. cook the burgers for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through. serve topped with your favorite toppings. some suggestions: avocado, bacon, lettuce, provolone or swiss cheese, tomatoes, red onion.
